Summer Volunteer Opportunities

with The Chandler Center

The Chandler Center operates with a smaller staff during the summer, but we’ll still offer a few volunteer opportunities both on and off campus—with transportation provided. Be sure to check back regularly for Chandler Center-sponsored projects throughout the summer!

Lasagna Making for Lasagna Love

Join us in making lasagnas for Lasagna Love, a nonprofit that aims to positively impact communities by connecting neighbors through homemade meal delivery.

 

When: Thursday, September 11, 2025 | 4:00-6:00pm

Turn a family's front porch into a welcoming environment! Design some door mats with us for Families in Transition.

 

When: Thursday, September 25th | 4:00-6:00pm

Where: Paul Hall (SETA) Rm. 128. Classrooms on the right before the staircase.​

Clean Our Coast Trip

Join us as we travel to the beautiful NH Seacoast and take part in a morning beach cleanup. After, we will take in the views as we grab lunch!

When: Thursday, August 14, 2025​

​

Transportation: Transportation is included and will leave The Chandler Center (Belknap 120) at 9:45am and will return around 3:00pm.

Sign Up To Volunteer!

Volunteer with the Amiko Youth Program!

From now until the end of June, we are volunteering at the Amiko Youth Program. The program specializes in offering after school and vacation programs to children who are newly arrived to the United States, or first generation American (born in the United States to immigrant/refugee parents). You'll have the opportunity to interact with children and engage in fun and enriching activities, as well as help with setup/cleanup at times.

Transportation is provided!

If you are interested in tagging along, feel free to reach out to us at serve@snhu.edu! You will have to fill out a background check (we can assist you through this process).

Dates: July 7 - August 7

When: Monday-Thursday 11:00am-3:00pm*

Where: 33 S. Commercial St., Manchester, NH (lower-level parking lot)

Thursdays are field trip days and may end closer to 4pm.​

We're Hiring!

Apply to be a service coordinator!

Are you passionate about service and making an impact in your community?

 

Apply to be a Service Coordinator! This position will provide support to The Chandler Center by acting as a liaison between the office and non-profit community organizations, coordinating service projects, and providing onsite guidance for student service-learners.

 

Some Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring students are educated on community issues and engaged in service.

  • Maintaining accurate records of student service attendance and participation.

  • Providing office support to The Chandler Center (phones, email, etc).

  • Driving volunteers with the minivans as needed.

  • And more!

We encourage participants to plan accordingly and reach out with any questions. If you volunteer on your own, make sure to come back and self-report for service hours.
